Who we are
Our Story
Our homemade sourdough bakery is more than a place where dough rises — it is a family tradition shaped by love, patience, and togetherness. Every loaf that comes out of our oven carries a piece of our home, our values, and the way we were raised.
What many people don’t see is how demanding this work truly is. Traditional sourdough baking requires long hours, physical effort, and constant attention. It is slow, time‑consuming, and often begins long before sunrise. We chose this path knowing it would never be the easiest way to earn a living. Our bakery is not about quick profit — it is about preserving nature, honoring real food, protecting tradition, and passing these values on to our children.
Where It All Began
We grew up in sunny Armenia, surrounded by a life rooted in tradition, family, and homemade food. From an early age, I learned the importance of working with care, respecting ingredients, and taking pride in creating something with your hands. My parents passed down not only traditional skills, but also the belief that food should be real, honest, and thoughtfully made. Those lessons became the foundation of who I am today — both as a person and as a baker.
Our Life Today
Today, our home in Kirkland, Washington is filled with the same warmth and traditions I grew up with — now shared with my own family. We are raising two beautiful children and teaching them the values of patience, hard work, and togetherness through everyday life and baking.
I am also a student, currently pursuing my second major in accounting, balancing studies with family life and baking. My husband works in construction as a handyman, and his craftsmanship and support are a big part of this bakery. From building shelves and workspaces to helping with the many hands-on details, he helped turn a simple home ritual into a functioning home bakery. This business truly reflects our teamwork as a family.
Our Ingredients & Values
Just as we were taught growing up, we believe that good food starts with good ingredients. All of our baked goods are made using simple, natural ingredients — with most of them organic, non‑GMO, and always free from additives, preservatives, and artificial ingredients.
We carefully choose what goes into our dough because we believe food should nourish the body, not just fill it. We bake the way our parents and grandparents did — with flour, water, salt, natural sourdough starter, and patience. Nothing extra. Nothing unnecessary.
Our Work & Craft
🥖 Benefits of Sourdough Bread
Easier to Digest Natural fermentation breaks down gluten and phytic acid, making sourdough gentler on the stomach than regular bread.
Better Nutrient Absorption The fermentation process helps your body absorb minerals like iron, zinc, and magnesium more efficiently.
Lower Blood Sugar Impact Sourdough has a lower glycemic response compared to conventional bread, helping prevent blood sugar spikes.
Naturally Preserved The natural acids created during fermentation help keep sourdough fresh longer — without preservatives.
Supports Gut Health Beneficial bacteria and acids formed during fermentation support a healthy digestive system.
Real Ingredients Traditional sourdough is made with flour, water, salt, and natural starter — no additives or artificial ingredients.
Rich Flavor & Texture Slow fermentation develops deeper flavor, better texture, and a naturally crisp crust.
🌿 Why Traditional Sourdough Matters
Sourdough is made the way bread was baked for centuries — slowly, naturally, and with patience. That’s why many people who struggle with regular bread tolerate sourdough better.
Baking sourdough is a ritual for us. Early mornings begin with the smell of butter and warm dough as we carefully prepare each batch using slow fermentation, quality ingredients, and time‑honored techniques. We never rush the process — because good sourdough is more than food; it is craftsmanship, patience, and history coming together.
Our sourdough bakery was born from a simple home ritual — mixing flour, water, and patience — which slowly grew into a true family passion. Every recipe carries part of our family’s story, shaped by years of learning, care, and dedication to the craft.
While one of us begins shaping dough before sunrise, the rest of the household slowly wakes to the comforting aroma of fresh bread baking — a quiet reminder of the traditions we are building and the values we are passing down.
